r/OkBhaiBudbak is an Indian discord server for a subreddit with the same name, the r/OkBhaiBudbak subreddit is an Indian spin-off of the the famous r/okbuddyretard subreddit, the subreddit is dedicated to share indian ironic memes and jokes which are intentionally nonsensical and absurd. With over 25,000 members it is one of the bigger ironic meme pages on Indian internet.
Subreddit History
On July 2020, Masakali (a former mod or r/pewdiepiesubmissions and laid the blue print for the r/pyrocynical discord server when their mod team approached him) decided to create an Indian okbr sub called r/okbuddyindian, which was banned within a few days for "recreating a banned subreddit". This was not the case, however. Attempts were made at repealing the ban, which did not prove to be fruitful.
Fast forward to October 2020, when he met Agent 178, the only other Indian person in the Romanian OkBR server who knew about okbuddyindian, and wanted to create an Indian okbr sub (Agent 178 would soon become an admin on the okbb discord and mod on the subreddit).
In December 2020, he then met mittro70 on the r/redditmoment server, who was a mod on r/ihaveihaveihavereddit. When he informed him about okbuddyindian, mittro told him about a subreddit called OkBhaiBudbak, which was dead, but had potential for growth. mittro70 later suggested him to apply for the role of a mod on that subreddit. Although Masakali was on board with the idea, he wanted to wait a while longer, hoping that he would eventually get r/okbuddyindian. However, in January 2021, he lost hope, and messaged Sixtixx#0012 for mod on OkBhaiBudbak. Initially, he thought that he wouldn't be given the position, because of his history as a powermod. Surprisingly, he was given the position. From then on, Masakali worked on the subreddit, growing it to what it is (even today).
Later, on January 30th 2021, the discord server was created, and the IQ of India went down significantly.
Server Timeline
2021
Early Server
This was the starting year of the server. Some of the earliest members were responsible for creating some of the first in-jokes, such as "anyone PES", "didn't ask lolz!", "My GF" etc. In the early months the discord was kept alive by around 10-15 members, but that didn't mean that there wasn't "fun" lurking around at every corner.
The First IndianDankMemes Raid
In October or November 2021, OkBhaiBudbak saw its first big wave of users due to a raid from the r/IndianDankMemes discord server. (The sub is the most popular meme subreddit in India but it is also very unfunny.) The server became much more active than it was before.
An active IDM user named 'itiswhatitis' posted an invite to OkBhaiBudbak in IDM. The link was autodeleted but Gaumata, who was an IDM mod then, asked him for the invite in dms. Itiswhatitis gave it to him and he pinned it in IDM general, to raid OKBB. (IDM members did not plan to post gore or cp or anything like that in OKBB, unlike many other discord raids.) During the raid, OKBB mods were not hostile to IDM members, and a lot of the raiders liked that, so they decided to stay, including Gaumata. This meant that a lot of active IDM members were lost to OKBB, so IDM became much less active. Because of this, Ved, who owned IDM at the time, told Gaumata to call everyone back, which he did, but he himself stayed, so Ved removed his mod. After this, there was a cold war, where the word OkBhaiBudbak and OKBB was censored in IDM and IndianDankMemes and IDM was censored in OkBhaiBudbak. IDM mods except Gaumata were banned from OKBB. The cold war ended when IDM was nuked.
The Introduction of Thug
,This year, Thug, meaning gay porn of black people, became popular in the server. At first, it was not welcome. A war was fought where users such as Indian Emperor, Gaumata, Swarit and Grim would post thug and the mods, especially Agent 178 and Masakali, would mute for long periods of time. But eventually, thug was accepted and even the owner started to be fond of it. After that, other users, including the owner, also posted or spammed it sometimes. Thug is now very common.
2022
This year was the most chaotic for the server as many important events occurred. Many notable memes and server inside jokes were created like ration, allu arjun, genesis and etc.
Fard vs Gaumata
Fard and Gaumata, two active (at the time) users didn't like each other and insulted each other in chat. They decided to argue in the vc. Sixtixx decided the date of the argument to be June 1 and recorded the event. During the argument, Fard told Gaumata to insert a knife in his asshole then take it out and lick the shit and blood on the knife; and then to cut his testicles off and suck the semen from them. This became a famous phrase. They eventually agreed to hate on Noida instead of fighting in a second argument which happened on 27 June. The anniversary of this event was celebrated next year.
The Deletion of #whatsapp-group-chat (general)
The most important thing which happened this year was the deletion of the general chat (RIP #whatsapp-group-chat). The former mod Himanshu was the culprit. He said that he meant to delete a different channel but accidentally deleted general; Though most people still suspect there to be another reason for it, it is still not clear what was his intention.
Masakali leaves
This year was also the year in which the person who made OkBhaiBudbak what it is today (Masakali) left, though, he would join the server again the next year.
2023
Retards of India raid
In March and April, members of the discord server 'Retards of India' raided OkBhaiBudbak by spamming child pornography in the general chat. (CP, doxxing and raiding is very common in ROI.) This was done because members of that server did not like OKBB, and OKBB had rejected their partnership request. This mainly done only by 2-3 users, using many alt accounts. This went on for a long time. The mods turned on explicit image filter and required phone number verification to use the server, to prevent cp spam and raids. The terms 'ROI' and 'Retards of India' were censored in OKBB. Some members of OKBB went to ROI to spy on them, so, many users and most mods of OKBB were banned from ROI. Some ROI users were spying on OKBB too. ROI still does not like OKBB, though they share many users.
Non_Neutral "leaves"
On May 7, non_neutral, the Assistant Owner, said that he would leave the server if his message got 100 stars. In 3 days, the message received 100 stars after many @everyone pings. After coming back from school, he pinged everyone again and left. But he did not leave forever. He pulled a Caskain and rejoined in an hour. He was banned but got unbanned 5 minutes later, and he immediately rejoined. He then said that he is a changed man and professed his love for the server.
The Nuke
On July 12, the server was nuked. Every public channel was deleted. This nuke was done solely by the user Faggotslayer Suriya. Suriya asked for the role hacker boy because he liked the colour and Non_Neutral gave the role to him, without realising that the role had Manage Channels permissions. After a few hours, Suriya realised that he was able to mess with channels, and proceeded to delete every channel he could see. Indian Emperor saw the server right after Suriya deleted all the channels and thought it was just a glitch. The mods soon restored most of the channels and the server went on as normal, but much history was lost.
2024

The most dedicated retard of the server Fahim Manihar went inactive for JEEmaxxing.
Josh soy rage [October]
Josh was spamming the @everyone ping in the channel which led to his mod being taken. One member left the message "bhai wo do rand nikal gye kya channel se" after that which established itself in 2024 hall of fame.
Ratan Tata Death [9th October]

2025
Kalps' mod scandal [July, 2024 to 18th January, 2025]
Kalps (AKA: Kalpesh Yadav), one of the most recognizable people in the server, perpetrated the first big event in the server for the year. He got mod for the first time in the July of 2024 by bootlicking Kushal, a friend of the owner Sixtixx, who at that time had the owner role alongside Sixtixx. Kushal took away the mods of those who didn't bootlick him. Kalps constantly feared having his mod role revoked since he got it through illegitimate means, so, for safety purposes, he made a supplementary mod role under the name "Yapping rantist" just in case, without either the permission, or the knowledge of the staff. He placed it at the bottom of the role hierarchy to avoid unnecessary attention He lost his mod after the staff caught a wind of what Kushal had been doing, Sixtixx took away his owner role and demoted him to the role of a mod (temporarily) while demoting everyone whom he had given mod for bootlicking (including Kalps) back to normal members. Kalps however got to keep his supplementary mod role since no one noticed it. He kept quiet about it and used it cautiously. This all happened in July. In September, 2024, Kalps decided to move on to the "better things" of life and leave OKBB. Throughout this time period, from July to September, Kalps kept giving subtle hints that he had some sort of a power, but no one gave it a second thought or perhaps he cleared up his tracks way too smoothly for anyone to notice. Before leaving, he gave the role to one of his trusted partners to keep it alive, just in case of his return. This individual kept the role alive till the 18th of January, 2025, when Kalps would formally join the server back and display it to everyone through a public use of the role. When Kalps joined back on the 18th of January, 2025, he saw that the condition of the server's chat was so poor that it was unbearable and he decided to take matters into his own hands. He took the supplementary mod role from his partner and set his foot on the journey of banning the 3 individuals who were the main perpetrators of this abomination. To do so, he needed a tall heighted supporting role since his supplementary mod role was low in the hierarchy and the 3 culprits had pretty high ranking roles, one of them was even boosting the server at the moment. Since he had memorized the role hierarchy, he knew that the "azadi" role which is the punishment role was pretty high in the hierarchy, made in thay way to be able to override most of the roles in hierarchy to punish almost anyone needed to punished. It was high enough to get his job done. So he DMed Amba (kcsmg) and told him to mute him (muting him would have given him the "azadi" role) in the server. Amba, though confused, does as he was requested and after Kalps got the "azadi" role through the muting, he got to business and banned all the 3 individuals one by one. He then stated how it was his final gift to okbb, and then patiently waited for the staff to ban him. The role survived for a total of around 6 months. It was only on this day that it came to light for the members and the staff. View screenshot here.
Aftermath - Grim, who was an admin at that time, was the first member of the staff to notice and he immediately banned Kalps. Amba and Grim discussed about the situation while Kalps' partner kept vouching for him, they noticed that he also had the role so they deleted it immediately, they then unbanned the 3 individuals who joined back and expressed their displeasure and hatred towards Kalps after they came to know about what happened. Just for this to be their fate: One is currently banned, one is out of the server and the other one's status is unknown. As for Kalps, he got unbanned around a month later by Amba, from then he started working his way up the ranks and on the 14th of May, 2025 , he officially got promoted to the roles of Discord Mod and Wiki Mod.
The JEE results (12/2/25)
On February 12th the JEE mains 1st attempt results came out and we finally found out that this batch was filled with complete retards. Gaumata was the highest scorer with 97.9%tile and failed to outscore rourkela. some fag named infinie got 27%tile. The members celebrated the results by playing hookah bar in VC.
Okbb Emergency 2025 (20/2/25)
Around late February, many of the server memeber's account started getting reported and banned for child safety reasons. At first it was speculated that it was kaisar who was reporting after an idm rat named tyler dada spread his propaganda. That didn't turn out to be true as kaisar himself got banned. Many of the staff members including non_neutral got their accounts banned ( even though later retrieved). Amba singh ran his Ryzen 5 laptop for 5 hours straight in the night to clear all the cp jokes but most people don't give him credit for that as sea-deep also purged the cp and rape jokes at the same time using his coderjeet powers and getting all the attention. The ban wave eventually ended around 27th February with around 17-18 active members being reported in total.
That Day...3rd and 4th March
This 24 hour period is probably the craziest in okbb history. Many important events unfolded during this. All of them are listed in chronological order:
1) Face app/ 6 hour VC/ Star-board nuke [1:40 PM - 6:00 PM]
At this time, trix , stomie, amba, venkyy, sourkela, Sixtixx, Tatta Trader and Gaumata started a VC which was later joined by 6-7 more members. During the VC, the server members shared the selfies of their female version using face app. This led to lot of jokes in VC and the server went full star farm mode. Around 40-50 messages went star-board in just these 5 hours. Gaumata alone got atleast 200 stars from this. The VC ended at around 6 pm and most likely caused the events later on.
2) Star-board reset / Ved ban [ around 11 pm to 12 am ]-
Around 12 am Non_neutral decided to reset star board after gaumata was acting kinda greedy. Akg supported him which led to Star-board being reset and Gaumata announcing a civil war which plays a major role in what happened next. Ved also gets banned around this time for posting about bairy halls, a blacklisted member of okbb.
3) THE NUKE [ 2:30 - 4:30 am] -
At around 2:30, Gaumata pinged multiple members to start a civil war as he was unhappy with star board being reset by non neutral, this caused alot of commotion and around 12 members were online at 3 am talking about random shit. Himanshu was pinged multiple times due to gaumata challenging him for a boxing match. After Himanshu was online, some admins asked him to delete general [WhatsApp-groupchat] as a joke. Surprisingly, Himanshu deleted the general chat at exact 3:28 AM. He then once again deleted general around 6 minutes later at 3:34 AM. Non_neutral wasn't able to stop this as he didn't have admin perms at that time as he left and rejoined the server due to a dare with gaumata.The members who witnessed this double nuke were Non_neutral, Gaumata, Akg, Grim, Tatta trader, Ved, faggotslayer suriya, trix and Mimo.
The Aftermath
After the nuke, masakali came online after being pinged by trix, after a chat with non_neutral, masakali punished gaumata by changing his name to "gaumutra". The admins thought they were safe but when sixtixx got to know about the nuke, Himanshu was banned from the server and non neutral demoted the whole staff.Grim, and Gaumata lost their admins and were demoted to discord mod, Akg lost his mod, the discord mods were demoted to subreddit mod except for amba who kept his role. Gaumata was later reinstated in his position as an admin by Non Neutral as he reportedly sent Non Neutral, the feet pics of Shraddha Kapoor, which he later admitted in a conversation with Kalps. Faggotslayer_suriya trolling the whole server [ 21st March]-
On 21st March around 11pm, a guy named pratham kumar joined the server portraying to be the guy in the "Kaisar" pic. He requested all the admins to delete all the memes and tags which had that image. The admins thought this was serious and started deleting all the tags containing kaisar. Brokencamel was online during this and took this situation very seriously for some reason and thus, suggested to delete all the tags of the servers. The admins ended up deleting all the tags. Next day at around 11:56am. Faggotslayer reveals that it was actually him trolling. Faggotslayer ended up getting banned from the server and all the tags got deleted for no reason.
Return of The Jannie (fthememer) [8th April]
On 8th April midnight, Non_neutral posted a Google form saying that there is a mod position vacant in the server and he would be taking applications for it. Many of the jobless incels in the server made multiple accounts to apply for the position, with some niggas just straight up copy pasting from chatgpt. After a suspenseful wait of 16 hours, Non_neutral announced the result and the new mod was none other than Fahim Manihar, the most beloved jannie of the server. Soon it was revealed that it was all a masterplan by non_neutral and fahim which they discussed on dm's the previous day. Most of the members were cool about the comeback except for gaumata who thought this much hype wasn't necessary for some random mulla from dharavi.
Ved leaking some random guy's phone number [15th April]
On 15th April at around 7:25 p.m, Ved leaked the phone number [7827170170] of some random nigga called LifePlayzz who was asking him to recharge his phone on the server. The jobless incels of the server used this opportunity to its fullest by spam calling and sms bombing that number. LifePlayzz joined the server about 10 minutes later and after a brief begging session, Fahim himself took the initiative of recharging his number with 22rs 1gb data pack, sacrificing his dinner for next 5 days in doing so. Fahim asked LifePlayzz to use this data sincerely for his studies but he probably used that money to make a team on dream11.
Amba leaves [13th May]
Amba Singh (AKA: kcsmg, vito scaletta), one of the mods, left the server on the 13th of May, 2025, quite possibly for studies. He stated in the announcement channel '#mann-ki-baat' , "baap ne mera rap kardiya" , probably due to him getting an undesirable outcome for his CET exam. His initial plan for the day was to do "incel battalion training" , probably in the game 'Battlefield I' or 'Battlefield IV' with some of the other members of the server but this plan got cancelled due to the unexpected event. He expressed his grief for not anymore being able to grind for cases in the game 'CS2'. We hope that he will return soon. View screenshot here
