r/okbuddyretard was the first iteration of the Discord server associated with the r/okbuddyretard subreddit, which had been created less than a month prior.
It is known for inspiring the creation of many now very popular offshoot servers, such as Dogelore, Whenthe, and Bruhmoment.

OkBuddyRetard 1 was created on January 3, 2018, while the subreddit was still very small. It was made by active members of the r/BoneHurtingJuice Discord, with Kirbizia being its first owner. According to Baljeet, the server started becoming active in May of that year. Near the end of 2018, it was handed to a then-subreddit moderator LunarShadows.
After Uhtred's bot, Ohtred, was hacked after its token was accidentally leaked, the server was nuked on December 30, 2018, with every channel being deleted and many users banned. Lunar moved the community to a new server, OkBuddyRetard 2, while the remains of the original server remained archived until being deleted on or before October 6, 2019.[1]
