RomanianMemer (also known as Mihailul) is one of the former owners of OkPrietenRetardat discord server. Since he joined the OkPrietenRetardat first server (also known as OKPR v1) in 2021, he was a very active user, rising through the ranks of the server and eventually becoming a moderator and then an administrator. After getting in touch with Myszak, he also joined the Irony Server Wiki Discord and OkBuddyRetard servers, although not being as active on those.
Background[edit | edit source]
His first and current Discord account was created on September 4, 2018, with a different, long-forgotten username. He was not very active, as his sole purpose of creating the account was to join a childhood friend's Discord server and mock him there. Eventually, he deleted the app, returning only after a year and a half.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Mihailul and his highschool colleagues entered in an online school system, as many countries were adopting at that moment. In order to keep in touch with each other, he returned to his old Discord account, changing the username to the current one, and joined along with his colleagues on a server created by Razvan5576, a friend from the same classroom. Later on, he spent more and more time on Discord, joining and leaving different servers.
On March 2021, while watching some memes, Razvan5576 found the OkPrietenRetardat subreddit filled with Romanian-themed shitposts and joined its Discord server. Extremely amused by the server's retarded mood, he convinced Mihailul to also join the server, a move that changed his life.
OKPR history[edit | edit source]
OKPR v1[edit | edit source]
Somewhere around the middle of March 2021 (between 11th and 15th), RomanianMemer joined the first iteration of the OKPR Discord server, alongside Razvan5576. Surprised by the server's mood, he decided to stay there and embrace the community and its shitposts. In order to impress the people out there and feel more edgy, he usually greeted them in the mornings "in the name of the Legion of the Archangel Michael", a not-so-ok Romanian political group.
After a few weeks though, Mihailul was pretty much inactive, with a few messsages ever sent from April until the shutdown of the server on May 15, 2021. Noticing the disappearance of the OKPR server, Mihailul found out that another one was created, and so he joined it once again on May 16, and since then he has devoted much more time to the server.
OKPR v2[edit | edit source]
After joining the new and shiny server, Mihailul found out that the last one was deleted thanks to one of the most infamous members, HomeMadeKetchup. Since then, he engaged more and more in server's activities and its community's shenanigans. He also carried on greeting the server in his edgy manner for a couple of months, eventually giving up.
In 2022, Mihailul was being more and more active, reaching the top of activity leaderboards and becoming one of the members with the most sent messages on server. It was during this time that he coined the catchphrase "sunt cu mașina", which became a meme on its own. He was also granted the role of moderator by alex, the server owner at that time.
In the last days of the server, RomanianMemer was promoted to admin role, as alex trusted him and other staff members to calm down the already rioting community affected by different dramas. That didn't last long, as Mihailul abused the role and was contributing to the spread of chaos. Eventually, at around this time, PieSammuray did the infamous trolling which lead to the deletion of the server.
OKPR v3[edit | edit source]
Following the blackmail incident from August 26, 2022, RomanianMemer joined the third version of the server created by Delu on the same day, immediately after the incident. Originally created as a backup server, it became the official OKPR Discord server. Mihailul was granted the admin role by Delu in order to help organize the server, and also as a gesture of being good friends.
As an admin, Mihailul was now constantly online on Discord, being active on the server every day and reaching the top once again. It was at this time that he also coined the phrase that represented him, "O nouă zi, un nou început" (English translation, A new day, a new beginning), which he usually said it at midnight, attempting to be the first one to write the opening message of the general channel for that day.
The new owner of OKPR[edit | edit source]
On June 26, 2023, during the events of Liga Mulatră, Delu gave the ownership of server to RomanianMemer, a gesture that shocked him. Following the news, he got into a long argument with Liga Mulatră's members who revolted against Delu, accepting in the end their deeds. He led the server during some uncertain times, the OKPR community experiencing both ups and downs. While some members got dissatisfied with the its status quo and many dramas arose, there were also many events in which both well-known and new members participated, and new memes were born.
Resigning from OKPR[edit | edit source]
At the midnight of November 1st, after over 4 months of him having the ownership of the server and after a brief discussion with the staff, RomanianMemer released an short announcement saying that he is giving up being the owner because he did not have enough time to stay in the position. A translation of the announcement is as follows:

I come with shocking and unexpected news...
@RomanianMemer aka me WILL NOT BE THE OWNER ANYMORE
I feel I can no longer cope with the server and its humour has become too complex and based to be understood by ordinary mortals. I feel like I no longer have the time and mental energy to cope, especially since college and my entourage there now occupy most of my time. I know, very wow stuff, but you have nothing to be afraid of. Most likely @Relu will be your co owner (unless a vote is taken and relu is just intermediary).
Anyway, I need a break. I don't think I'll be on the server anytime soon.
Also @Razvan5576 will be joining this break for the same reasons, so God help how you manage to get a new admin in.

The ownership was eventually given to Relu. Soon after the announcement, RomanianMemer and Razvan5576 left the server that was their home for so long.
Aftermath[edit | edit source]
Following the resigning, Mihailul got many responses from many OKPR members in private, most of them showing regret for him leaving the server. He stated that he'll come back after a few months to see how things have gone with another owner. And so he did.
As 2024 was close, Mihailul felt that he misses the beloved server. Eventually, he joined back on the New Year's Day, to the surprise of many. He felt that he should discuss with the staff, which now it got more members than before, about all the reasons why he left the server and the state of the server, as he felt dissatisfied about. After that Mihailul spent some time with the community, before leaving the server once again on January 4.
RT modified the Atlas Discord bot so that it will say "O nouă zi, un nou început" every day at midnight, in memory of Mihailul, starting with November 19, 2023.
