The Irony Hub is a spiritual successor to Irony Hub created by several of its original staff members.[1]
The rules of this server are extensively TOS-compliant in order to prevent the server from being deleted by Discord like its spiritual predecessor, in addition to officially claiming to not to be affiliated in any way with it.[2]
History
The server was first concieved by Diogo in Awesome Planet on July 20, 2023.[3][4] A few hours later, a gif began to spread the news to servers such as Awesome Planet, OkBuddyRetard, Whenthe, and Dogelore, announcing that "The Irony Hub." would have its grand opening on July 22, 2023 at 10 PM GMT (although it was actually 9 PM since British Summer Time (UTC+1) was misinterpreted as being GMT.) During its development, Diogo was "demoted" from admin to mod due to his previous actions, although he now has the second highest admin role.[5]
The server was opened to the public on July 22, 2023 at 8:54 PM UTC,[6] reaching 100 members after a little more than 3 hours. The custom invite was set to okbr on July 24, after The FTA changed theirs from it the day prior.
Truckmonth, an admin of Awesome Planet who also modded The Irony Hub, nuked the former server on August 12, 2023. This helped bring many refugees into the server, reaching 300 members at the same time.
