Irony Hub was created by Dkaih35 on May 14, 2020, and was opened to the public on May 26, the day after the death of George Floyd. The server was made to escape the mod corruption of OkBuddyRetard 3 and to instead make a more community-run server, although the mods ironically long abandoned this ideal.
The server was catastrophically deleted by Discord on December 28, 2021 for ToS violations by Caskain and Aflop Alfred
A spiritual successor to the server, named The Irony Hub, was created in July 2023 by some of its former staff members.
