Quipville: Difference between revisions

The owner drama was a period of civil unrest that lasted for nearly a year following the wrongful ownership transfer from DiGiorno to HYP3R on February 4, 2023. The drama started in February 2023 after DiGiorno announced that he was stepping down from owner due to inactivity. A mod vote was made petitioning to give ownership to Ford F-150 which passed 9:3. Despite the poll passing, DiGiorno gave ownership to HYP3R which angered the rest of the admin team. HYP3R would hold on to his ownership for 2 days attempting to defend himself against the entire admin team before eventually giving up after Ford along with other admins threatened a server nuke (still can't believe this worked). Ford would only stay as the owner for 13 days until he was demoted following a power trip where he demodded HYP3R. He would be replaced by Guagh in a mod vote that would also pass 9:3. Guagh would remain owner until April 1st when he announced that he no longer wanted to be owner and petitioned to give ownership back to Ford. This petition would barely pass with an 8:5 vote. Following this, Ford would go on to revise the Quipstitution into the Bill of Quips, and would make changes to the voting system, overall solidifying him as the optimal choice for owner. Ford has continued to serve as Quipville's owner to this day and there have since been no problems with his rulership.

|DiGiorno

When he began making appearances within the server in late October 2023, he quickly gained notoriety for his behavior, which included a passive aggressive tone and an overall sense of aggression. However, it wasn't until admins DiGiorno and Gun Luigi brought up his rude behavior that the other members began to speak about it. In call, [deleted] would regularly reply in vc with "who gives a fuck? Who cares?" responses, and also would send very unbased unkek furry memes that most of the userbase found cringe.

|HYP3R <br/>DiGiorno

On February 25th, 2021, Dip Nation was created after [[Spurgatory]] users Funni Fishe, HYP3R, and DiGiorno found a subgenre of old Facebook memes all relating to [[wikipedia:Dipping_tobacco|Dip (chewing tobacco)]]. The server was somewhat active for a little while but eventually became inactive, and was nuked on April 16th by HYP3R later that year.

On July 6th, 2022, [[Guagh]], in protest of the growing number of archived general chats, added a bot that acted as a replacement for pins so that funny  messages would always be "pinned" by being stored in their own channel. However, the bot was more or less a glorified starboard bot and the problem with there going to be "too many archived generals" were not seen as a problem by half of the admin team. Guagh did not take this well and briefly spurged out and started deleting voice channels until he was temporarily demodded by DiGiorno. Later that day Guagh settled out and reluctantly accepted defeat.
