Epic Sad Bunch
Epic Sad Bunch or ESB is a Discord community originally split from ComedyCemetery on 25th November, 2017 with the intent to replace ComedyCemetery's server and was created by ChppexVEVO. Through its time it has often been renamed with the initialism ESB and rarely deviated from it.
Server History[edit | edit source]
Much of ESB history has been lost as many founding members have been banned from discord or otherwise purged.
Split from ComedyCemetery[edit | edit source]
After disagreements between ChppexVEVO and Th3RealLegend, ChppexVEVO would create a new ComedyCemetery discord to replace the original. The earliest recorded message in the server is 4 hours after its creation from user Sky.
The next day reborn would post rules which can be found below while ChppexVEVO set up bots and emotes.
ESB would make competitions a large part of the server community.
In late November of 2017, ChppexVEVO would threaten to ban Kirbizia offering ban immunity in exchange for a cum tribute which lead to the infamous ChppexVEVO cum tribute.
Ebic Sad Bunch[edit | edit source]
In December 2017, with the new server being unable to gain enough adoption among the community the choice was made to rename from ComedyCemetery to Ebic Sad Bunch with many speculating that Sailend's powertrip would be the end of the original ComedyCemetery server.
ESB Deviations and Notable Names[edit | edit source]
In mid 2018 the first name since the original ComedyCemetery name to not be initialized as ESB would be given to the server with Epic Kino Bunch as the server would begin watching anime, cringe compilations, and movies together.
In late 2018 Mani would suggest karaoke nights which would rise in popularity and return the initials of ESB with Epic Singing Buddies before a sting of non ESB names would take the next year.
In mid 2019 would see the rise of Epic Clown Bunch, a revolution within the nsfw channels as users began bonding over pornographic images of "clussy" or clown pussy and various images of women dressed and painted in traditional clown attire.
The start of 2020 would trigger a war over the widely popular and divisive emote :snort: which was used mainly in ironic contexts or against users who were uncomfortable with the emote. With many users wanting it removed, it was put to a vote in the esb-vote channel. During this time, the server was renamed Epic Snort Bunch causing many jokes about drug use leading to the creation of the drugs channel. :snort: was removed with a vote total of 82 people for removal vs 78 for keeping the emote.
In mid 2021 with Covid lockdowns in effect, many of ESB's American users would receive Covid relief stimulus checks. Many users suggested that they should start gambling leading to the creation of a group chat named Epic Highrollers. Word would get out about the group when user Saline leaked his winnings on sports betting of over $144,000. As news circulated others within the server would begin gambling with the server fully rebranding to Epic High Rollers in September.
In early 2023 ESB would rebrand back to Epic Sad Bunch attempting a return to form of community activities with gaming and hangouts becoming a staple once again within the server.
A few months after returning to ESB, a number of users would joke about starting a cult, in October, 8 users would create their own private server named Epic Suicide Bunch for their cult, information on any of the users who left is unknown.
Gambling[edit | edit source]
Gambling within ESB would last throughout the remainder of 2021 and the entirety of 2022 before being ending at the start of 2023. As of January 12, 2023, the epic-gambling-bunch channel was deleted and the spreadsheet containing the sheet known as the "Saline Loserboard" maintained by Bryl is below. In mid January the server would go under heavy maintenance with most channels archived and a large number of the server's inactive users pruned.

Epic Sad Bunch Revival[edit | edit source]
With ESB being damaged from the "Gambling Arc" many features have yet to be re-added but has returned to being a private community activity server.
