On Irony Wiki, user accounts may belong to one or more user groups that give them additional permissions. Think of them like roles on Discord. This page serves to provide a basic overview of common user groups. A more technical list is available at Special:ListGroupRights.
User groups
editAutoconfirmed
editAutoconfirmed users can edit semi-protected pages and bypass CAPTCHAs. This is the easiest user group to obtain; it is automatically granted to all user accounts that are at least one day old and have made at least five edits.
Administrators

- Blocking (and unblocking) users from making edits
- Protecting pages to limit who can edit them
- Editing pages that are fully protected so that only administrators can edit them
- Deleting and un-deleting pages
- Marking pages for translation
