Several sites would adopt things created from 4chan, with Reddit in particular inheriting the meme culture of 4chan.
The site is mostly irrelevant now. There are some connections between 4chan and irony users but it is mostly a "boogeyman" or a joke to be played around with. The website has not contributed to irony or any meme culture in a long time, and pretty much now only operates as a porn site.
4chan also has a notable discord presence, with several public communities that are able to be found on Disboard or on the /soc/ - Cams and Meetups board on 4chan. One irony server in particular that is related to 4chan is Freezer.
