September 2019 Nuke[edit | edit source]

The September 2019 Nuke was one of the most major nukes within Peternity, it is somewhat forgotten as it occured during the early days of the server, when the membercount was below the tens of thousands and when many did not yet join the server, the nuke did not have too many long lasting effects thanks to that though, the background of this nuke dates back to a long-time staff member of the server, as well as some assistance from another moderator almost completely nuking the server, deleting the first #general channel, deleting most of the channels, roles as well as half of the server members off Peternity.

November 2019 Nuke[edit | edit source]

Almost every single channel deleted, effects of the fourth nuke.

During the month of November, 2019. A malicious developer of a discord bot sent a private message to Peternity, asking if he could add it into his server, Peternity stupidly agreed to this offer, adding the bot into the server. This caused a bit of damage, with the bot deleting some unrelated channels, as well as the second #general channel, though the membercount stayed the same and this nuke did not have much long-time effects on the server.

Mini October 2020 Nuke[edit | edit source]

This was a malicious nuke done by one of the now former staff of the server, in order to have their name remembered in Peternity's history they deleted the third #general channel, this was the tamest nuke of them all, only having the mod be able to delete #general before being stripped off their channel permissions and subsequently banned. This led to the deletion of the third #general channel.

E-Date Troubles - April 2021 Nuke[edit | edit source]

One of many active members within the server, that was at that time dating one of the administrators was able to take control over the staff members' account, they were able to almost fully erase Peternity, going as far as even planning to kick most of the server's members, but due to every single role being deleted during the nuke, this didn't work out. Almost all channels were deleted, including the fourth #general chat, the impact and effect of the nuke were being seen for over twelve hours, it being in a temporary limbo until finally the server was reconstructed, one of the most major nukes within Peternity. Coming very close to the September 2019 nuke in terms of it's size.

Alright, here’s an update on what happened. Basically, an admin had his account compromised, deleted almost all of the channels, and pinged everyone several times. The server will be locked and channels will be hidden until we feel everything is back properly. We’re working on getting the server back to normal and should be done soon

KingBaba Raids - October-November 2021[edit | edit source]

A user by the name of KingBaba began DDosing the server for a very long period, it spanning over a month. This forced Peternity to go into a temporary lockdown. Eventually the attacker gave up likely due to the prolonged length of time he was using his resources.[1]
