How to install mods for the minecraft server

Instructions[edit | edit source]

These instructions assume you are on Windows 10 and already have vanilla Minecraft Java Edition installed.

  1. Install Forge if you haven't already.
    • Go to https://files.minecraftforge.net/
    • Click the installer for the latest version.
    • Once you have the .jar file downloaded, run it. This should install Forge and you should see a Forge profile in the Minecraft Launcher.
  2. Install the mods.
    • Download the zip file containing the mods here.
    • If you don't trust that, alternatively you can look up each mod on CurseForge one by one (mod list) and install them that way.
    • Extract the zip file and enter the folder.
    • Select all the .jar files in the folder and copy them to the clipboard.
    • Go to the following folder: %appdata%\.minecraft
    • Then go to the mods folder, or create it if it doesn't exist.
    • Paste the files.
  3. Boom hopefully ya mods are installed.
    • To enter the game with mods, select the Forge profile in the Minecraft launcher. When you get into the game you should hopefully see all the mods in the mod menu.
