To avoid drama, to not have us kicked out from the subreddit, or most likely, not knowing how much the others on the server shared our feelings about him. It wasn't before we were certain there was a significant amount of people that hated him that we even thought about removing his role. And it all goes back to that at the time harmless decision to give him the '''moewner''' role all those months back. He was granted authority he never deserved and asserted it through his aggressive behavior during the past few months.
