Although it is believed that the prospects of the new, more transparent process helped quell any potential outbursts, due to scheduling, his trial was set only after the election had concluded. The debate produced a strong showing from many candidates, especially independents, however, the election remained a likely match between the NSP and NovaSP. This would be the first trial to take place after the constitution reform allowed certain rule-breakers or troublemakers to hold a trial in their defense before the moderators take action.

At 20:47 UTC on the 9th of September 2024, chief moderator '''Walter White''' would send out a message to the newly created #⚖️-courtroom channel, where he would go onto to explain the contents of the indictment and encourage the @Jury role to familiarize themselves with said document. This message would also announce that user '''Dainis''' would represent defendant '''Charter'''.

The charges in the indictment can be summarized as such:

A brief summary of the charges was provided before the defence proceeded. After some banter, the defence had agreed upon their response to the first of the charges. '''Dainis''' states that there was no foul play in count one, as '''Mr. Asex''', who shared screenshots of direct messages with '''LarKcuavian''', did so in a public server. The defence also remarks that '''Mr. Asex''' did remark that '''LarKcuavian'''<nowiki/>'s action were one of the reasons he had left the server, which made '''Charter''' feel morally responsible to share it with the server.
