Koknese, (pronounced: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Lv-Koknese.ogg) previously known as Gatesby, is an active member of the 69SwagBalls420Hut and previously active controversial member of the Latvian OKBR

Latvian OKBR era[edit | edit source]

Koknese (Gatesby at the time) joined OKBR while severely underage, therefore he was frowned upon and bullied for his bad humor and childishness. While he gained reputation during the years, some ultra old-OKDD conservatives still tell him to shut up.

The TikTok promo incident[edit | edit source]

Gatesbys' promo video on tiktok

While still active and gained some reputation on the OKDD, Gatesby made a successful tiktok account, that gained some popularity in Latvia, even getting contacts with Latvian tiktok stars such as emjay. Gatesby, in coordination with OKDD mods, made a promo video for OKDD, because they were running out of boosts. The video was a satirical guide on "how 2 get friends online" template popular at the time. The video blew up, with approximately 80 people joining the server with 3k~ people in it. The new members mostly resembled young gatesby, unfunny and childish, sending the very secret nest of latvian Gen Z humor their own recycled 4 year old unfunny jokes. One such new member was so pissed at people not laughing at him, that he posted CP in general, and gatesby quickly privatised the video.

The SwagCord era[edit | edit source]

Paleolithic Swagcord[edit | edit source]

Gatesby joined (still underage) SwagCord after being fascinated for this niche shitposting subreddit feeling of unity, and with IDGAS being one of them. Gatesby made previous contact with Meme Alt Account, after his comment in the subreddit was removed, after that he made a ironic call out post to Meme Alt, and shortly joined the server. Gatesby was a normal member at the time, playing Smash or Pass on the Mudae discord bot with Lin, Meme Alt, and now banned Mahmood, and just participating in the server. At one point, Gatesby was venting his anger against teenage junkies to another latvian member of the server, and he promptly doxxed himself and the person he was reffering to as a junkie. Gatesby was unpunished, however, his actions motivated mods to add doxxing rules, and mods were seeing that Gatesby maybe is not as stable as they know him. Gatesby also made some genocidal remarks against people that had sex without intent of making children, and claimed ADHD is fake. After that had passed, Gatesby has seen McNutt suicide tape for the first time, and thought it was funny, so he posted it on a Swagcord partnered sub, IkeaFreshBalls, what left MemeAltAccount disgusted, and he permanently banned Gatesby.

Modern SwagCord[edit | edit source]

A year later, Gatesby asked begged Lin to let them back in, as he severely changed and condemned his previous remarks, and so Gatesby was back in the server. After 5~ month inactivity, Gatesby fully changed his identity to koknese, in a reference to Latvian OKBR members changing their tags to their latvian regions/cities, and he began showing signs of activity in SwagBalls, fully regaining activity during the first SwagCraft. Gatesby would become a major collaborator in The Macromaniac Wars and he would go on to host The SwagCraft.
