The Kanye bot would be created by Nununoisy using a random script that he would find that scraped a bunch of Kanye West's tweets and then used a Markov chain to generate text from them. Most of the time the chains would create responces that wouldn't make much sense, but Kanye's tweets don't make much sense either way so it pretty much worked out. Excluding the corpus of Kanye's tweets, the core of the bot only featured 31 lines. It was so bare-bones in fact, that Discord wouldn't verify the bot because they thought that Nununoisy was excluding information on the application form. All the bot would do was wait for someone to send a message, and usually it would send a Markov-generated tweet afterwards, the only "command" was that if the bot was mentioned, it would have to respond to the message mentioning it. | |||

Eventually Heroku, the cloud platform which hosted the Kanye bot would change their pricing, and Kanye himself would become a nazi, which would make Nununoisy promptly take the bot down as it wasn't worth the effort to still keep maintaining it, as stated before the bot would get very close to the 100 server cap before it was taken down. Kanye, also sometimes reffered to as Kanyebot was a discord bot created by Nununoisy which was predominantly known to have been used in Irony Hub, but also was used in other servers, as it "at least got close to the 100 server cap" before Nununoisy would take the bot down. It was somewhat similar to Howie, in the sense that it also used a Markov chain and generated random responces.
History[edit | edit source]
Shutdown[edit | edit source]
Eventually Heroku, the cloud platform which hosted the Kanye bot would change their pricing, and Kanye himself would become a nazi, which would make Nununoisy promptly take the bot down as it wasn't worth the effort to still keep maintaining it, as stated before the bot would get very close to the 100 server cap before it was taken down. The source code is still usable and you can host the bot yourself. Below is the entirety of the codebase used for the Kanye bot, you can also alternatively use the github provided in the template on the right.
