At 20:47 UTC, 9/9/2024, chief moderator '''Walter White''' would send out a message to the newly created #⚖️-courtroom channel, where he would go onto to explain the contents of the indictment and encourage the @Jury role to familiarize themselves with said document. This message would also announce that user '''Dainis''' would represent defendant '''Charter'''.

This message would also announce that user '''Dainis''' would represent defendant '''Charter'''.
The charges in the indictment can be summarized as such:
• Posting private messages and inciting a fight
• Joking about owning child pornography
• Making an overly rude remark

The moderators would be the ones to prosecute, though '''Walter''' and '''Decoherence''' would be the only moderators who actually fulfilled this role. With defendant '''Charter''' represented by '''Dainis''', the jury was assigned the @Jury role. The group of users with the @Jury was as follows: '''Chauka''', '''The Soviet Onion''', '''Banarnar''', '''Jumbo Manta''' and '''Luftwaffles'''. The jury would discuss their decisions privately, outside of the #⚖️-courtroom channel. It may be good to note that '''Xertun''', —owner of a partnered server— used his texting permissions to join into the courtroom and lighten up the mood.

After much rescheduling, the trial was moved to 9/16/2024, 19:30 UTC. At the agreed time, the trial begin with '''Decoherence''' criticizing '''Dainis''' for being 3 minutes late, then the trial begun. A brief summary of the charges was provided before the defence proceeded.

At the agreed time, the trial begin with '''Decoherence''' criticizing '''Dainis''' for being 3 minutes late, then the trial begun. A brief summary of the charges was provided before the defence proceeded. After some banter, the defence had agreed upon their response. '''Dainis''' states that there was no foul play in count one, as '''Mr. Asex''', who shared screenshots of direct messages with '''LarKcuavian''', did so in a public server. The defence also remarks that '''Mr. Asex''' did remark that '''LarKcuavian'''<nowiki/>'s action were one of the reasons he had left the server, which made '''Charter''' feel morally responsible to share it with the server. '''Decoherence''' responded by showing off a screenshot where '''Mr. Asex''' states that while he had mentioned the issues outside the server, it was '''Charter''' who asked for the screenshot, and '''Mr. Asex''' never meant to cause any trouble.
