During it’s existence, it achieved a status as a unique server with a distinct post-ironic culture. Gaysex2 users, or Gaysexians created many distinct works such as Gaysex2 lore (examples being The nation of Gaysexia, The Lifeform, contraption, [[THE PIT]], Bottle's androids and [[Kb]]'s Poopy Penis), a handful of inside jokes that spread beyond the server like [[Charon7000]]'s "Me petting my cat", and a Gaysex2 related interactive music project called [[Big Booba Tunes]] which lead to it’s own offshoot server (both server and most of music now deleted).

Around then, the server began to die and the members began to join offshoot servers. A foretold nuke by [[Paccie]] was the final nail in the coffin, and Gaysex2 was, for the most part, dead.
