Shid and Camed is the official Discord server of r/shid_and_camed, a shitposting subreddit. Its current custom invite is shidandcamed.

History

Prehistory

Before the opening of Shid and Camed, its subreddit, also named r/Shid_and_Camed, along with r/retarb and r/676, were partnered with a server known as Autism Alliance. This changed during the "r/Retarb incident", when on June 8, 2022, a post regarding r/retarb was made on r/AgainstHateSubreddits, causing users from r/retarb and Autism Alliance to brigade r/AgainstHateSubreddits. This led to r/retarb being shut down and r/shid_and_camed being swarmed with refugees.

“	r/Retarb incident at the time of 40k or so members on r/retarb, the original mod decided to quit and pass it on to others because users from r/shitposting found it and swarmed it which overwhelmed the OG mod. those new mods didn’t moderate much at all and the sub started becoming more edgy and unhinged. Mostly racism and shit. So r/againsthatesubreddits found it and made 1 post about it. 1 post isn’t enough to get a sub banned but the users on r/retarb saw that post and started brigading againsthatesubreddits. 300+ users from there got banned from againsthatesubreddits in 1 night and that caught the attention of the reddit admins. The admins then banned all those users, some bigger users affiliated with r/retarb including my OG account, u/Baxobhone, because i was closely aligned with r/retarb (hence the autism alliance discord) and banned r/retarb as a whole. the r/retarb refugees started flooding into r/shid_and_camed and while flooding our sub they were still brigading r/againsthatesubreddits. Thankfully a mod from that sub told me about it and basically told us that if we didn’t get that figured out they’d report us to the admins as well. I say thankfully cause they could’ve just as easily reported us with no warning. So i privated r/shid_and_camed with my current account for like a week until all the drama died down. After this incident, Bax left Autism Alliance and opened a standalone server for r/shid_and_camed on June 9th, 2022.

The Beginning of Shid and Camed Discord

On June 9th, 2022, Baxobhillus created the official Shid and Camed discord server. Although it was created at this time, it was not opened to the public until August 8th, 2022, exactly a month after the r/retarb incident. Shortly after the Shid and Camed discord was opened, Bax left Autism Alliance for good, only coming back once a year later to see if the server was still running and left again.

At the start of the SnC (abbreviation for Shid and Camed) discord, things started off slowly. Only a few members started off, the first notable member being Sir Frederick Hapsberg, AKA Robert, Unabomber, and a few other notable usernames. It was relatively inactive for its first few months.

Meanwhile, the subreddit r/Shid_and_Camed had reached about 50k members and one member had caught the attention of Bax. He was active and talked with the mods frequently so in October 2022, this user was promoted to a subreddit mod. This user who went by multiple aliases, is most well known as Lilbabi. His time on the subreddit wasn’t controversial and had only strengthened the relationship between himself and Bax as Lilbabi was just as active, if not more active than even Bax.

Around late November 2022, Lilbabi joined the SnC discord server as the 3rd official admin, the 2nd being long time subreddit mod and real life friend of Bax, Popo, aka u/Nowinbeta. Shortly after Lilbabi had joined, most of the Subreddit mods followed suit and gained the Admin status.

Lilbabi’s time in the discord server started off strong as he believed we could expand the SnC community past reddit. This started off with a series of advertisement posts on r/Shid_and_Camed which also incentivized the first 500 users to join to be given the *OG Shidder <500* role.

This introduced many memorable members to the server such as 2stepp, TheBC, Joe Cameltoe, and so on.

The Beginning of Success
