This is a [[Template:Hatnote|hatnote]] that can link the reader to other articles with similar titles or concepts that they may have been seeking instead.

{{tl|Distinguish}} serves a similar purpose, but it displays the text "Not to be confused with <1>" instead.

For example, <code><nowiki>{{about|the user|the bot|Kojimabot}}</nowiki></code> will output

The first parameter can be omitted, for example <code><nowiki>{{about|the bot|Kojimabot}}</nowiki></code>, in which case the first sentence will not be displayed:
