== What Fits into The Subreddit? ==
Poorly drawn parodies of memes, ragecomics, and all sorts of things. Although not Smuggies, which are somewhat different than Snafus. Counter-Signal memes, also known as smuggies, are political caricatures drawn by amateurs across the web. As a general rule, these memes require esoteric knowledge that most people lack, which is why they've struggled to grow in prominence. In fact, these memes work best as an inside joke between compatriots, and likely will never have mass appeal. Still, in spite of this, Smuggies were a growing trend on Reddit that encouraged direct political discussion with no bells and whistles. TDLR; A smuggie is a meme where you poorly draw a caricature of the person/ideology you wish to mock, then add text which is typically paraphrased from what they'd say, showing hypocrisy.

There had infact been a subreddit created for Smuggies with the same name, but it had been later banned by Reddit. (June 29th, 2020.)<gallery>

== History ==
The First Snafus were made sometime around October 2012, with the first Snafus originating from a Facebook group titled "You have been coaxed into a snafu." On January 31st, 2013, the /r/coaxedintoasnafu subreddit was launched by Redditor u/ashanmaril.

On October 25th, 2013 the subreddit would reach 1000 subscribers, with constant steady growth it would also reach 2000 subscribers by November 22nd, 2013.

Around 2020 the subreddit would get an entirely new moderation team, with many moderators also being tied to /r/[[OkBuddyRetard]]. (?)
